The Henan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently released the results of the fourth batch of product quality inspections conducted in 2013. Among the products tested, grinding wheels had a compliance rate of 95%, indicating that most of the samples met the required standards. This inspection covered 100 batches of grinding wheel products from 71 different companies located across ten cities in the province, including Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Luoyang, Anyang, and Pingdingshan.
During the testing process, several key parameters were evaluated, such as rotational strength, hole diameter, static balance, black core condition, crack presence, sound quality, hardness, thickness, and product labeling. These tests are essential to ensure the safety and performance of grinding wheels used in industrial and manufacturing applications.
Out of the 100 samples tested, 95 batches were found to be compliant with the national standards. However, five batches failed to meet the required specifications. These non-compliant products came from enterprises such as Zhengzhou Sanlong Abrasives Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Gaoxin Abrasives Co., Ltd., Xinzheng Linfa Abrasives Co., Ltd., and the Kaifeng City Abrasives Factory in Henan Province. The main issues identified included problems with rotational strength, hole size, hardness, and thickness—factors that can significantly affect the performance and safety of grinding wheels.
In response to these findings, the Henan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision has instructed local quality control authorities to take appropriate actions. Municipal and county-level bureaus have been tasked with overseeing the follow-up measures, ensuring that non-compliant products are removed from the market and that the involved manufacturers improve their production processes. The bureau emphasized strict adherence to the Product Quality Law and the "Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Product Quality of Henan Province" to maintain high-quality standards in the industry.
This inspection highlights the ongoing efforts by the provincial government to monitor and regulate product quality, protecting both consumers and businesses from substandard goods. It also underscores the importance of continuous quality control and compliance in the manufacturing sector.
