The Henan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently announced the results of the fourth batch of product quality inspections conducted in 2013. Among the items tested, grinding wheels were sampled with a pass rate of 95%. This round of inspections covered 100 batches of grinding wheel products from 71 different enterprises across ten cities in Henan Province, including Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Luoyang, Anyang, and Pingdingshan.
During the inspection, various critical parameters were evaluated, such as rotational strength, hole diameter, static balance, black core, cracks, sound quality, hardness, wheel thickness, and labeling. These tests are essential to ensure that the grinding wheels meet national safety and quality standards before they reach the market.
Out of the 100 samples tested, 95 batches met the required standards. However, five batches failed to comply with the regulations. These non-compliant products came from companies such as Zhengzhou Sanlong Abrasives Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Gaoxin Abrasives Co., Ltd., Xinzheng Linfa Abrasives Co., Ltd., and the Kaifeng City Abrasives Factory in Henan Province. The main issues identified included problems with rotational strength, hole diameter, hardness, and thickness.
In response to these findings, the Henan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision has instructed local quality control authorities to take appropriate measures. They have been asked to follow up on the non-conforming products and their manufacturers in accordance with the Product Quality Law and the "Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Product Quality of Henan Province." This ensures that necessary actions are taken to improve product quality and protect consumer interests.
The inspection highlights the importance of continuous quality monitoring in the manufacturing sector, especially for industrial products like grinding wheels, which play a vital role in various production processes. It also underscores the responsibility of manufacturers to maintain high-quality standards and adhere to regulatory requirements.
