Cotton flowering and bolling period is stressful

The flowering and boll period is a key period for cotton to gradually shift from vegetative growth to reproductive growth, and it is also the period when cotton needs most fertilizer.

For the cotton in the flowering stage, because the vegetative growth is still in parallel with the reproductive growth, the partial application of nitrogen fertilizer will cause the cotton to grow longer and then grow longer, which not only aggravates the detachment of the bud, but also causes premature aging. Therefore, part of the cotton in the flowering period should be based on compound fertilizer, apply 15~20 kg of compound fertilizer per mu, or apply a small amount of urea, and apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. In particular, cotton fields with hybrid insect-resistant cotton should be added with potassium fertilizer, and the potash fertilizer per mu should be no less than 15 kg. The flowering fertilizer should be applied in depth and the soil should be ridged.

For the cotton that has been ringing, it is necessary to apply peach fertilizer. Where the area of hybrid insect-resistant cotton planting is large, the peach fertilizer should be applied twice. When the average cotton yield per plant is 2~3 peaches, about 15 kg of urea should be applied per mu. When the average cotton plant has about 10 peaches, the urea should be applied again for about 15 kg. When there are more cotton knots, there is no need to worry about the long-term application of urea. Because the cotton is in the direction of the peach, the direction of nutrient transport has been turned from the leaves to the cotton boll, and sufficient nutrients are supplied in time to increase the weight of the bell, the weight of the sub-finger, and improve the quality. However, the peach fertilizer can not be applied too late, and the application too late will only cause the cotton to be late and ripe.
