For example, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology has developed “golden†rice that can treat blindness. They transfer key genes from the carotenoid synthesis pathway to rice, so that the produced rice contains rich raw materials for the synthesis of vitamin A. While solving the problem of eating, it is also helpful in treating diseases such as blindness caused by vitamin A deficiency.
Another example is the Israeli Institute of Life Sciences at Baylane University in Israel invented a new method of "listening water pollution." The new method requires only one laser beam to irradiate the algae floating on the surface of the water.
