Finnish industrial automation expert Cencorp has recently introduced a conductive backplane, marking a significant step in its plan to develop photovoltaic modules for manufacturers. This innovation is part of the company's broader strategy to integrate advanced technologies into solar panel production.
The new module incorporates Cencorp's flexible circuit and laser drilling technologies, which were assembled on an automated pilot line that the company acquired from Sunweb Solar earlier this year. This move demonstrates Cencorp's commitment to leveraging cutting-edge automation solutions to enhance efficiency and performance in solar manufacturing.
Iikka Savisalo, CEO of Cencorp, shared insights about the project: "Our first self-developed PV module is currently being produced at the Mikkeli automated pilot line, which we acquired from Sunweb Solar in January 2013 and have since further optimized. The new component is primarily used for testing and development purposes. According to our internal evaluations, the performance meets our expectations. We are aiming to launch the first commercial product based on this technology in 2013."
This development highlights Cencorp's growing expertise in renewable energy systems and its ambition to play a key role in the future of photovoltaic manufacturing. With continued investment in research and automation, the company is positioning itself as a reliable partner for solar manufacturers seeking innovative and efficient production solutions.
