The system is composed of a detector and a specialized sensing cable. The sensing cable can be installed in either a straight or curved configuration, with one end connected to the detector via a feeder. Each feeder has a standard length of 3 meters, while the maximum length of a single sensing cable can reach up to 400 meters.
The system is configured in two main ways: open-loop and closed-loop systems.
In an **open-loop system**, the setup includes three PM modules (PM1, PM2, and PM3). PM1 is connected to a single cable and can function as a terminal without needing to link to a TU module. PM1 is connected to PM2 through an LU module, and PM3 is also connected to PM2 via another LU. Since PM2 is linked to two cables, its other end must be connected to a terminal unit (TU) or an LU module. The vibration cable sensor not only detects vibrations but also facilitates communication between the PM modules. This allows data from PM1 and PM3 to be transmitted to PM2. From there, PM2 sends the data to the central control computer through a NIM module. This setup eliminates the need for individual wiring for each PM. Additionally, any PM can connect multiple RM modules via an RS422 interface to enable relay output.
In a **closed-loop system**, the configuration differs from the open-loop version. Here, each of the three PMs is connected to two cables, and the cables are joined end-to-end using LU modules to form a continuous loop. This creates a closed system that enhances signal integrity and reliability, making it ideal for applications where consistent and uninterrupted monitoring is essential.
