5. Splicing Quality: Check the alignment of the joints. The panels should fit smoothly without gaps, and the surface should remain level across the entire installation area.
6. Flexibility Test: A high-quality panel should have some flexibility. Gently bend it with your hand to assess its elasticity and overall durability. This helps determine the material’s resistance to weather conditions.
7. Material Composition: Although integrated ceiling gussets are typically made of aluminum, they come in different types such as recycled aluminum, standard aluminum, and aluminum alloys. Aluminum alloys include magnesium-aluminum, manganese-aluminum, and magnesium-manganese-aluminum combinations. Adding magnesium improves toughness, while manganese increases rigidity.

Surface Finish Options: Gusset boards can be produced using various processes, including laminated boards, roll-coated boards (available in matte or glossy finishes), and oxide boards (with single or multiple oxidation layers). There are also solid-color panels and decorative patterned panels for aesthetic purposes.
9. Thickness Considerations: For residential use, a thickness of 0.6mm is generally sufficient. Industrial applications usually require at least 0.8mm or more. However, thicker isn’t always better. Some sellers may use recycled aluminum and simply increase the thickness to make the product appear more durable, which doesn’t necessarily mean better quality.
