In an effort to further advance the "Qinghu Fire" campaign and enhance fire safety management in shopping malls and residential buildings, local authorities have taken proactive steps to prevent large-scale casualties and fire incidents. Recently, the Qili Town Fire Brigade in Jiuquan City collaborated with the oilfield fire brigade to conduct a comprehensive fire drill at the Jian'an Business Building, jointly organized by Qinghai Oilfield Sifang Service Company.
On the afternoon of the same day, a simulated fire broke out in the women's clothing section on the second floor of the Jian'an Business Building. As soon as the fire was detected, the mall immediately activated its emergency fire announcement system and initiated an alarm. At 15:02, the Qinghai Oilfield full-time fire brigade dispatched two fire trucks and seven firefighters, who quickly arrived at the scene by 15:07.
Upon arrival, the fire commander assessed the situation and divided the team into two groups. One group rushed to the nearest water source to prepare for firefighting, while the other focused on organizing the orderly and rapid evacuation of people according to the designated escape routes. After five minutes of intense operations, the fire was successfully controlled, and the entire exercise proceeded in a calm and efficient manner.
Following the drill, members of the Qili Fire Brigade provided on-site training on essential fire safety topics, including how to report a fire, fire prevention techniques, and self-rescue and escape methods during emergencies. The session aimed to improve public awareness and preparedness in case of real-life fire incidents.
This initiative reflects the growing emphasis on community fire safety and the importance of regular drills to ensure that both staff and residents are well-prepared for potential dangers.
